I've been reading some of your character posts and I must say I have been blown away by the writing! I used to be the RP lead of my former guild, but unfortunately burned out and gave up RP altogether. However, these posts have really inspired me and would like to RP again!
So, my question to you all is, how many of you folks would be interested in RP'ing with guildies, or as a guild? I would be happy to help set up events and stories in which we could all participate.
I hope to hear from some of you, and that we can RP together soon!
I spoke with you over mumble, but I am completely interested in getting together with other guildies for some RP. I'll update my list of characters on my RP directory, and am cool bringing whichever toon would fit the general theme of the event.
Let me know if you need/want any help getting things started!
Alright! So it seems we have more than enough people interested to start up a guild roleplay group, which is fantastic! It looks like the roleplay night will be Monday nights from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. server. This means that tomorrow night would be the first RP event, but I'm not sure we'll be ready. Perhaps we can just all touch base and hash a few things out in Mumble before we start. So, on to what I'll need from you...
So, as I stated, this is a guild roleplay. However, since our guild isn't an RP guild icly, we need a reason to meet and work together. I have ideas, but I'm going to need some information from you all. So, what I'll need from each one of you is a quick email over the website giving me some basic information. The most important points are: Does your character know another character in the guild icly? Where does your character spend most of their time? If I were to start the event in Elwynn Forest or Stormwind, is it plausible that your character be traveling there? Just keep in mind that if your character wouldn't go there, it might take a while for you to meet up with the group.
Also, exactly what type of events are you looking for with roleplay? Do you like casual events, where we just spend time with each other at the tavern and knock back a few drinks? Or do you prefer to fight the enemies who plague the citizens of Azeroth? I'm known for doing a mixture of events, even celebrating some of the lore holidays. For the combat events, I prefer a d20 system. It makes it hard for anyone to "god-mode," and keeps disagreements to a minimum during the short amount of time we'll have to spend together.
Finally, what roles do you want to bring to the party? Do you delight in playing villains or be interested in a victim role? I find that those who can step up to the plate and play a villain really add more depth and interest to the story line. If you want to play a villain or victim, but not with the main character you'll be bringing, that's perfectly fine!
I look forward to talking to everyone soon!
I like this blue but can we consider purple :^)
