<Battle Hardened> started out as a group of friends and family, and we'd like to keep it that way, with trust and understanding throughout all of our members. To do so requires a few ground rules.

Please note: These rules may be updated at any time, and the guild will be notified. If someone fails to adhere to one of the rules, they will be given a warningvia whisper. A second warning may be given publicly. If the warning is not heeded (or the slip-up is too severe) they may be removed from the guild pending three or more officer's approval.

General Rules

  • Don't troll trade or other public channels, including /say. When you are invited into <Battle Hardened>, you have our guild tag under your name for all to see. Please respect the guild, and represent us in the best light possible.
  • Respect one another! I know sometimes we might have disagreements, but please try to treat each member with courtesy and respect that you would desire in return. This goes for those outside the guild as well.
  • Do not discriminate. Here in <Battle Hardened> we like to talk mad shit to one another. However, we do not discriminate against race, gender, religious beliefs, or any of those other sensitive topics. If you feel that someone is stepping out of line or you feel uncomfortable, please let one of the officers know ASAP so we can fix the problem.
  • Do not start problems with people in the guild. Drama is something we frown upon greatly! If you have an issue with any guild member, please do not hesitate to bring it up to one of the officers. We will do our best to come see eye to eye with both of you. Drama-mongers will be removed if it is an on-going issue. If the issue is with an officer or the GM bring it to The officer of your choice.
  • Questions are okay! If something doesn't make sense, please ask so we can clarify what we mean. There is no such thing as a stupid question!
  • Mistakes are okay! <Battle Hardened> will (hopefully) be progressing at a faster pace than LFR/normal. We will wipe multiple times on the same mechanic, and that's alright! If someone asks you to focus and watch a certain mechanic, do not take it as something negative; we want you to improve so we can continue moving forward as a group! If you find yourself making a repeated mistake, do what you can to fix it yourself, or ask for a suggestion on how to solve the problem. Repeated offenders will be asked to do extra research. If this is not complied with may be asked to sit until the person improves or fixes the issue.
  • Don't grief the RPers.

Streaming

We do not allow the streaming of any of our raids or guild activities without prior consent from all individuals involved. Any breech of privacy in regards to streaming or public recordings will result in immediate removal from our activities.

Absences and Extended Leave

We love when you are around to play with us, but we understand when you cannot. If you cannot be online for something that you signed up for or an activity that has a roster that you are a part of, please don’t stress – just let us know ahead of time.

The best way to inform the officers of your absence is in the absence forum. That way it is documented for all the officers to see, and it won’t get lost in in-game mail or whispers.

Rostered Absences
(Mythic Raid Team / Rated Battle Ground Team)

Some of our teams (progression raiding team and RBG squad) have attendance policies that are slightly different than our general guild attendance policy.
To continue to have a set spot in either of these teams, you must be able to commit to all of the scheduled days for those teams. Uncommunicated absences will result in sitting the next raid night the roster permits.

We understand that sometimes iRL>WoW, and that there will be times when you cannot make it online to raid or RBG. If possible, please notify an officer ASAP so we can make adjustments to our roster for the night. You can do so by jotting down a small message in our 'Absence' forum, messaging one of the officers via btag, or even texting Shalathe.

If you cannot commit to the schedules for these teams, it doesn’t mean that you are automatically declined guild membership, or even team membership - It simply means that we will be taking our regular members before those who cannot commit to the attendance policies. If there is a spot available after all our regular members are in the group, you may still be invited if you meet the other requirements of the group (iLvl, experience, etc). However, loot eligibility might be affected if you are unable to make the majority of scheduled raid times.

Extended Leave

If you will be gone for an extended period of time (weeks, months, etc), please let an officer know in advance by posting in the absence forum so that we do not permanently replace you in the raiding/RBG roster and/or gkick you when we clean out the roster periodically.

Obvious exceptions to our rostered attendance policy are emergencies, and other situations (eg. work/duty schedules) cleared in advance at the discretion of the officers. These absences must be logged on the guild site.

Raid Expectations

  • Show up to raid. If you can't make it, let an officer know in advance so we can have a replacement. We have an absence forum specifically to let us know when you cannot make it.
  • Please be online with your flasks/food/etc ready to go when invites go out. Invites will be sent out at 5:50pm server time, so that we are good to start pulling trash at 6pm. If aren't ready to accept the first invite, you risk having to sit out for the night.
  • You must have ALL the required addons (including mumble) downloaded and installed to raid with us. Keep them updated reguarly.
  • Have your gear gemmed/enchanted before raid time. Mats can/will be provided by the guild. If you get an upgrade during the raid, please wait until break time to gem/enchant it (unless the enchant/gem is pre-made and in your inventory or the mobile guild bank ready to go) so that we don't waste time.
  • Know your spec! This includes knowing your stat priority, what talents to take, and your rotation. If you need help finding any of that information, please ask!
  • Listen to instructions. Raid Leaders are people too, and therefore far from being perfect, but try to follow the strategy given. If you have a question, please ask so that they can clarify before the pull.
  • There will be times that you might see a better solution or strategy that the Raid Leader does not see right away. Instead of talking over everyone and arguing in mumble, please whisper an officer and let them know you have a suggestion. It will help keep mumble clear and reduce confusion throughout the entire group.
  • For progression bosses we will make a forum post for each boss. Strats will be discussed there. If you miss a strat, or we are in the process of changing how we are doing the fight, please check the post prior to raid time so that we don't need to give the entire run-down for one person.
  • On ready check mumble needs to be quiet for last-minute instructions.

Normal/Alt Runs

In order to raid normal with us, all the General Raid Requirements plus these are valid:
  • Must be at least iLvl680+
  • Must have the proper enchants/gems/gear for your class/spec
  • Must be a member of the guild
  • Must have flasks and your own food (feasts may be provided by guild)
  • Must maintain reasonable performance standards, and know the fights.

Heroic Runs

In order to raid heroic/mythic with us, all the General Raid Requirements plus these are valid:
  • Must be at least iLvl690+ for lower bosses, iLvl695+ for upper floors, and 700+ for higher tier upper bosses
  • Must have the best enchants/gems/gear in your heroic+ gear for your class/spec (may be provided by guild for main toons only)
  • Must be a member of the guild, on the raid roster, or pre-approved by the raid leader
  • Must have flasks and your own food (feasts may be provided by guild)
  • Must maintain reasonable performance standards, and know the fights from normal mode runs. If you cannot survive a normal mode encounter you may not be ready for heroics yet. We will do everything in our power to help a guild member who is helping themselves to improve, but during the learning phase, normal mode raids are the place to work out performance issues.
  • 40k minimum dps for lowers. 45k minimum dps for uppers. 50k minimum for Manny/Archi. Those who are struggling to meet these requirements on a particular fight will be sat if there is a wipe, or sat before the next boss.
  • Those who are unable to follow mechanics or mess up on the same mechanic more than once may be sat if it is a huge detriment to the raid. Healers and tanks, who are unable to be judged solely by raw numbers, must be able to follow the mechanics and use their utility to the best benefit to the raid.

Mythic Runs

In order to raid mythic progression content with us, all General Raid Requirements plus these are valid:
  • Must be at least iLvl715+, have 4 piece heroic tier, heroic class trinket (if applicable for your class/spec), and a legendary ring.
  • Must have the best enchants/gems/gear in your heroic+ gear for your class/spec (may be provided by guild). Gear must be valor upgraded 2/2.
  • Must be a member of the guild, on the raid roster, or pre-approved by the raid leader (for trial status)
  • Must have flasks and 125 stat food, provided by the guild (feasts may be provided by guild for learning purposes only)
  • Must maintain reasonable performance standards, and know the fights from heroic mode runs. We will do everything in our power to help a guild member who is helping themselves to improve, but during the learning phase, heroic mode raids are the place to work out performance issues.
  • 60k minimum dps for lower/farm.
  • Must be able to attend all scheduled mythic runs. Obvious exceptions to our rostered attendance policy are emergencies, and other situations cleared in advance at the discretion of the officers. These absences must be logged on the guild site.

PVP Expectations

  • Honor gear is required minimum to RBG with the main team for the first four weeks of the season. Adjustments will be made per week after that, relative to the iLvl of that season week.
  • You must have the required addons (including skype) downloaded and installed to raid with us. Keep them updated regularly!
  • Show up to RBGs. If you can't make it, let an officer know in advance by posting in the forums!
  • Know your spec! This includes knowing your stat priority, what talents to take, and your rotation. If you need help finding any of that information, please ask!
  • PVP gearing depends largely on YOU, not random raid drops. We would prefer you to work towards CP gear outside of strict RBG times, through arenas, Ashran, and random BGs. If you need help gearing up, please ask!
  • Please do not /rude to your foes! If you're going to grind their faces into the mud, at least be classy about it!
  • Please make an effort to commit to 90% of all scheduled RBG nights. We understand that sometimes things happen that are out of our control, but if you cannot be online, let us know so we don't wait around for you to log on! Priority spots will be given to those who regularly commit to the scheduled PVP times.
